Predictive Current Method for Single Open-phase Fault Detection in Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine

چکیده
Fault detection and post-fault operation are two functionalities of modern fault-tolerant system. In this paper, a new current predictive method for single open-phase fault (SOPF) detection in permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) is presented. Major advantage of the proposed method is the capability of detecting open-phase fault in a few sampling intervals (few hundreds of μs). Also, an identification method for open-phase fault will be briefly described. Both methods have been simulated and tested in Matlab/Simulink program.
